It’s time to think baseball and the Peoria Sports Complex, spring training and player development facility of the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres, will be the place to be in the months of February and March. With a game a day don’t miss any of the action. Games begin February 25th. Peoria Sports Complex is the Spring Training and player development home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. The first two-team facility built in the country, this complex is still thought of by many as the premier baseball facility in the country. Sitting on 145 acres, each team has 6 and 1/2 major league sized practice fields, a 40,000+ square foot clubhouse and indoor/outdoor batting tunnels and cages. The shared main stadium seats 11,333 fans.

Lake Pleasant Regional Park blends unrivaled beauty with unlimited outdoor recreation. Whether your preference is activities on land or on the water, your sure to find everything and anything for the entire family. Located on the northern end of Peoria and about 45 minutes from downtown Phoenix, Lake Pleasant covers 10,000 acres. Utilized as a holding lake, its water comes from two sources, Central Arizona Project Canal and the Aqua Fria River. Managed by the Maricopa County Parks & Recreation Department, Lake Pleasant is Arizona’s second largest lake and offers a wide variety of recreational activities. General camping, RV accommodations, boating, sailing, water and jet skiing, and fishing are just some of the activities offered at the lake. Affiliated with the Smithsonian Institute this unique facility brings the wonders of space to all ages. The Challenger Space Center of Arizona is a working memorial to the astronauts that lost their lives in the ill fated space shuttle Challenger STS – 51L flight on January 28, 1986. Its mission is to "inspire, excite, and educate people of all ages about the mysteries and wonders of space, science and the universe in which we live".
